Uralva toothpick package
Client :
Barpalsa is company that fabricates food products such as wheat cones and confectionary. In addition, it manufactures plastic straws and toothpicks.
Design Problem :
Barpalsa's need was a cardboard folding packaging. Ideally one piece and easily build-able (no glue points).
The brief was to use two printing inks; simple strokes and a clear description of the product.
Solution :
The packaging dimensions were adjusted according to the number of toothpick pieces.
To make the structure of the box was a challenge. Graphics were straightforward. At the front was a graphic suggesting teeth and in the middle was the brand-name.
The rest of the graphics were branding and amount of pieces from the box.
The product was to go to English and Spanish speaking markets. On one side was the English version and the other side Spanish.
Conclusion :
When I designed this packaging I realised it was a real challenge to keep to a small budget. The client was pleased with the result.
